Reserves Face Northampton - Ipswich Town News
Town's reserves will face Northampton at Sixfields in their first Pontin's Holidays Football Combination League East Division fixture of the season on Tuesday, 21st August (KO 2pm). Last season Richard Hall's men won their league by 11 points from second-placed Colchester United.
The Blues second string still have to play last season's Football Combination League play-off final with Central Division champions Brighton. The Seagulls finished their reserve programme too late to fix a date for the play-off and so the match was held over until the new season and has been set for Wednesday, 15th August at Portman Road (KO 7pm).
Peterborough United and Grays Athletic have been announced as new members of next season's East Division, but the league still numbers 10 teams with Oxford United withdrawing and Leyton Orient switching to the Central Division.
As a result Town's reserves will face Colchester United, Grays Athletic, Luton Town, MK Dons, Northampton Town, Norwich City, Peterborough United, Southend United and Stevenage Borough during this season's campaign. The full fixture list can be viewed on the club site.
