New Three in Squad - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Jim Magilton has included all three new signings in the squad for Saturday's trip to Rushden and Diamonds. Neil Alexander has joined the Blues on a free from Cardiff, while Tommy Miller and Pablo Couñago have returned to Portman Road after being released by Sunderland and Málaga respectively.

Also named in the 19-man travelling party are Sylvain Legwinski, Gary Roberts, Richard Naylor and Fabian Wilnis. All four are slightly behind the rest of the squad due to injuries sustained last season or earlier in the summer.

Legwinski played his first game since breaking his metatarsal in March at Chelmsford on Wednesday, while the other three were in action for only the second time this summer against the Essex side.

Rushden's squad includes defender James Krause, who was released by the Blues at the end of last season. Krause's academy team-mate Kieran Leabon was with the Diamonds last week for a trial, but the striker has not been offered terms at Nene Park.

Town's U18s are in action against Southwold tonight on Southwold Common (KO 6.30pm).

Squad: Alexander, Bruce, Clarke, Couñago, De Vos, Garvan, Harding, Haynes, Lee, Legwinski, T Miller, Naylor, O'Callaghan, Roberts, Supple, Walters, Wilnis, Wright.
