Sito on Trial at Yeovil - Ipswich Town News

Full-back Sito is on trial with League One Yeovil Town. The Spaniard played the full 90 minutes for the Glovers in today's 2-0 friendly defeat at home to Cardiff City.

Sito, who has a year left on his Blues contract, has rarely been involved since Jim Magilton took over as manager and is expected to leave Town this summer if he can find a new club, probably on a free transfer.

The former Racing Club de Ferrol man joined Town in the summer of 2005 after impressing Joe Royle in a trial. Despite becoming the first Town player to be red-carded in successive games, the second of which was ultimately overturned, the defender did enough to be offered an extended deal later in his first season, but Royle's departure has seen his opportunities limited.

Sito has made 39 starts and nine sub appearances during his spell with the Blues. The 27-year-old would be the third ex-Town player at Huish Park if he signs with strikers Marcus Stewart and Darryl Knights already in Russell Slade's squad.
