Scan for Navas - Ipswich Town News
Trialist César Navas will have an X-ray after picking up a suspected cracked metatarsal during last night's 5-1 win at Crawley. The Málaga man played 64 minutes at the Broadfield Stadium before being replaced.
Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "César will have an X-ray this morning and we will take it from there.
"He was everything I expected at Crawley. He showed great composure on the ball and is certainly a player that I would like to have another look at.
"It's a blow about the injury. It looks as though it could be a cracked metatarsal, but we will know more when we get the results from our medical team."
Reports in Spain claim Town and Málaga are already discussing the potential fee for the 6ft 4in-tall central defender, who is due to remain with Town until the end of the week.
If confirmed, Navas's cracked metatarsal is likely to keep him out of action for around four weeks.
