Casement Misses Penalty - Ipswich Town News
Town defender Chris Casement missed a penalty as hosts Northern Ireland started their Milk Cup campaign with a 2-2 draw against Turkey in the elite section of the annual youth tournament.
Casement was given his chance from the spot 11 minutes from the end of the first match of the elite group - for players born before January 1988 - but Turkish keeper Ferhat Kaplan got down to his right to save. Kaplan also denied Casement towards the end, stopping the Blues defender's header.
The Northern Irish youngsters face Chile in their second game on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Town's U18s have gone on a mini-pre-season tour of Wales. The youngsters face academy director Tony Humes's old side Wrexham today and then take on Port Vale on Thursday.
