Walters in Midfield - Ipswich Town News

Jon Walters will again be used in a right midfield role when the Blues take on Royal Antwerp this evening (KO 8pm local time). Striker Walters was previously used in this position for part of the recent friendly at Rushden and Diamonds.

Town's line-up looks to be the strongest currently available with Canadian right winger Jaime Peters and central midfielder Sylvain Legwinski both left behind to work on their fitness.

Boss Jim Magilton's pre-season programme deliberately gave his side a number of games against Conference opposition before taking on stiffer sides: "I am getting closer to what I want my starting line-up to be against Sheffield Wednesday.

"With respect to the sides we have played so far this summer, I expect tougher contests tonight and on Sunday [against Panathinaikos]."

Town: Alexander, Wright, Harding, Bruce, De Vos, Walters, Miller, Garvan, Williams, Lee, Couñago.
