Navas to Have Surgery - Ipswich Town News
Town target César Navas will undergo surgery on his broken metatarsal in Spain on Wednesday morning. The Blues are believed to be close to signing the 27-year-old, who spent time on trial last week, on a permanent basis.
Navas faces two months out of action after injuring his right foot in Town's friendly at Crawley a week ago.
Meanwhile, Town's U18s defeat Wrexham 2-1 in a friendly earlier today, the goals coming from Jordan Rhodes and Ed Upson.
Further to the Antwerp report, Luciano OlguÃn scored the home side's goal while Town's equaliser was created like this, rather than as per the original report:
Town got back on terms on 86 after Billy Clarke made an impressive run into the box before laying the ball to Tommy Miller. The midfielder found Gary Roberts eight yards out and the former Accrington Stanley man made no mistake.
