More on Fernandes - Ipswich Town News

Further to the weekend link with Fabrice Fernandes we have learnt more of his current situation.

A Fulham source tells us: "The situation with Fernandes is that he is on-loan at Fulham all season from Rennes - Rennes want £4.5 million, Fulham want to pay £3 million at end of season. Fernandes has had a ruck with Jean Tigana and has been recently dropped over this. Fernandes thinks he is worth it and has asked his agent to find him a Premiership club (so this could be agent talk). Fernandes has been class all season and gave Man Utd the runaround at Craven Cottage in the FA Cup."

Sounds quite interesting...

Town's Academy sides both lost at the weekend, but it seems that there was at least one eye on Wednesday's FA Youth Cup fixture against Nottingham Forest.

The U19s lost 3-2 to Arsenal with the Blues goals coming from Dickinson (penalty) and Westlake. The weakened U17 side, who won their League title last week, were beaten 1-0 by Reading.
