Alexander Called Up - Ipswich Town News

Keeper Neil Alexander has been called into the full Scotland squad for a friendly with South Africa at Aberdeen on Wednesday, 22nd August. Edinburgh-born Alexander has previously won three full caps.

Also in the squad is former Town loanee Jay McEveley.

Meanwhile, returning midfielder Tommy Miller has told TWTD that he hasn't given up hope of international caps with the Scots. Miller, who qualifies through his grandmother, says he would jump at the chance: "Scotland is still open. I was brought into a squad when Berti Vogts was manager, but it didn't really work out as I was injured when I went up there for a training week.

"If it came along now then it would interest me. Alex McLeish is doing a great job. But there's not been any contact since the Berti Vogts days, maybe because I hardly played last season."

The full interview can be read in the current issue of TWTD. A six-issue subscription can be purchased here.
