Kerr Offer Made - Ipswich Town News

Reports are suggesting that not only is Mark Kerr coming on trial at Town, but that the Blues have already put a firm bid in for the young Scot. And Leeds are also reported to be lining up a rival bid for the 19-year-old.

The Falkirk player is very highly rated and Town have long been interested in him. George Burley denied any interest at first, but recently admitted that he had tried to bring the midfielder to Portman Road on trial.

Falkirk manager Alex Totten refused to allow Town and West Ham, who had the same idea, the opportunity to do this saying that scouts should have been able to assess Kerr when playing games for his club.

Burley said that Town were unsure of Kerr's abilities due to the level of football he is currently playing - Scottish League Division One.

Leeds also want to bring Kerr on trial next week and could scupper Burley's plans to make the Scot a Town man.

5'11", 10st 3lb Kerr has started just 31 games for Falkirk in addition to another seven appearances from the bench. The Bellshill-born player has scored three goals for his club and was in the Falkirk side which lost 4-1 to Ross County on Saturday.
