Tommy Smith and the England drew their opening FIFA U17 World Cup group match 1-1 with South Korea in Seogwipo earlier today.
Smith played 71 minutes before being replaced, prior to South Korea's last minute equaliser.
The Town central defender will be looking forward to Tuesday's second group game against New Zealand. The Macclesfield-born player lived in New Zealand between the ages of eight and 16 and turned down the chance to play for their U17 side.
England complete their group matches against Brazil on Friday.
