Irish Call for Clarke - Ipswich Town News

Striker Billy Clarke has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for a European U21 Championship qualifying tie with Portugal in his home town of Cork on Friday, September 7th.

The striker will join up with the squad on September 5th with the game taking place in a designated international week. Clarke won his third U21 cap in Tuesday's 2-2 friendly draw in Germany.

Meanwhile, Paul Murphy missed the Republic of Ireland U17 side's 2-1 final defeat to Russia at the Lithuanian invitational tournament earlier today due to a knee injury.
