A young Town U18 side lost 3-0 at Fulham on Saturday morning. Several regular second year scholars were rested.
The Cottagers were a goal up at the break and added two more late in the second half.
Elsewhere, on-loan Town defender Ian Miller scored for Darlington as they drew 2-2 at home to Notts County. The goal was the first of his current loan spell with the Quakers and the second of his professional career.
