Central defender Ian Miller says he wants to extend his loan spell at Darlington. The Blues are yet to decide whether the former Bury Town man can remain with the Quakers.
Miller said: "I have not spoken to the people at Ipswich, but as far as I see it I want to stay up here and play as much first team football as I can, and I am sure it is in Ipswich's best interests to keep me up here.
"The gaffer here has told me that there is a first team place available and I have never been told that at Ipswich.
"That is why I want to extend my loan. While being a squad member is important, within football you have to think about yourself and I want to be playing week in, week out."
Miller was expected to join Darlington until January but, after it was discovered Richard Naylor required surgery, his initial spell was limited to a month.
With Naylor still out for another couple of weeks and César Navas's move not yet completed - and the Spaniard out until October in any case - the Blues may decide to keep Miller at Portman Road as cover.
