Striker Dean Bowditch played 75 minutes of a behind-closed-doors friendly with Bristol Rovers at Portman Road on Wednesday afternoon as he continues his comeback after summer groin surgery. Bowditch had been suffering from the injury since the middle of last season.

The game was arranged due to there being no reserve league fixture this week, the Blues running out 1-0 victors via a Billy Clarke goal.
