Naylor Steps Up Training - Ipswich Town News

Central defender Richard Naylor has been given the green light to step up training as he continues his recovery from last month's toe surgery. Naylor is not due to return to first team action until late October after the operation on the toe injury which was initially misdiagnosed last season.

Physio Matt Byard told the club site: "Richard had a very positive meeting with his specialist last week. He is making great progress and is meeting the short-term goals and targets set by the medical department.

"The specialist has told him that he can now increase his rehabilitation to include jogging and running in a straight line, which he has started this week.

"That has gone well and we will continue to monitor him daily, and are very optimistic about progressing his staged rehabilitation further shortly."
