Upson With England - Ipswich Town News
Academy midfielder Ed Upson could pick up his first U19 international cap this evening when England take on Belarus in a friendly at Notts County's Meadow Lane (KO 7.45pm).
Upson is unlikely to start having been a late call into the squad. The 17-year-old, who scored the winner in the 2005 FA Youth Cup final, has previously won England caps at U17 and U18 levels.
Tonight's match is a warm-up for October's European Championship qualifying games with Iceland, Romania and Belgium, which will be played at Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Barnsley respectively.
