Upson Wins Cap - Ipswich Town News
Academy midfielder Ed Upson won his first U19 international cap last night as England defeated Belarus 4-0 in a friendly at Notts County's Meadow Lane.
Upson, 17, was introduced as a sub in the 85th minute with his side already four goals up but down to 10 men.
The match was a warm-up for October's European Championship qualifying games with Iceland, Romania and Belgium, which will be played at Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Barnsley respectively.
Town defender Chris Casement is likely to be in action for Northern Ireland's U21s this evening in their European Championships qualifier in Luxembourg. Casement has previously won six caps at U21 level.
