Becks in Town? - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says he will offer David Beckham the chance to train with the Blues during the US off-season. The LA Galaxy and England midfielder is keen to keep in shape when he returns to the UK once the MLS season ends in mid-November.

Magilton says he speaks to the Galaxy's head coach Frank Yallop regularly and will make the offer to Beckham via the former Town defender: "I will invite David to train with us. Ideally I would also love to have him play a couple of games, but I doubt that would be possible.”

Beckham, who is currently out of action with a knee injury, is based in Hertfordshire when in the UK and earlier in the week it was reported that the former England skipper had already spoken to Arsenal about spending the winter training with them.
