New Supporters Club Chair - Ipswich Town News

Liz Edwards was elected chairman of the ITFC Supporters Club at their AGM on Thursday evening, taking over from Andrew Redfern. Liz was previously chair of the London Branch.

A fan since the mid-sixties, Liz is an associate director of the club through her shareholding and is one of the core academy sponsors. She was also involved in the set-up and early years of Ipswich Town Ist, the Supporters Trust.

At Thursday's AGM, she indicated that she is looking for the Supporters Club to develop closer links with the 25 or so regional and overseas branches, as well as becoming more centrally involved in ITFC's fan-based activities, both in Ipswich and elsewhere.

Liz is keen on promoting relationships and debate between the fanbase and the club, and made reference to her support for the revived fans' forum in her address. TWTD wishes Liz all the best in her new role. She can be contacted via supporters@itfc.co.uk.
