Murphy Set for Caps - Ipswich Town News

Academy striker Paul Murphy could win two Republic of Ireland U17 caps over the weekend with his side hosting a four-team European U17 Championship qualifying tournament.

The Irish youngsters take on Ukraine at Terryland Park in Galway this evening and then Denmark at Lissywoolen in Athlone on Sunday. Ireland complete their fixtures with a game against Slovenia at Flancare Park, Longford next Wednesday. The top two sides in the group progress to the elite qualification stage of the competition.

First-year scholar Murphy has previously won two caps at U17 level, having been a regular in the U16s and U15s.
