Framlingham 1-11 Town Res - Ipswich Town News

A young Town side went on a goal rampage on Wednesday night, defeating Framlingham Town 11-1 in the memorial match for Fram fan Jean Frost, who recently lost her life in a car accident.

Jack Ainsley hit a hat-trick, Jordan Rhodes two, Craig Calver two, while Ed Upson, Liam Trotter, Luke Hyam and Liam Barrett were also on the scoresheet. In action for Framlingham were former Blues Mick Stockwell and Kevin Steggles.

Town were missing a number of regular reserves players through an illness bug which has affected several academy players. Curtley Williams, Tommy Smith and Kurt Robinson were amongst those unavailable.

Funds raised from the game will be donated to Kim Frost, who was injured in the crash and has been left unable to play sport, and Cancer Research UK.

Town: Plummer, Synnott (Hyam 56), Clemo, Reason, Fenn, Watson, Upson, Trotter (Lambe 46), Rhodes (Barrett 60), Ainsley (Calver 60), Tooms. Unused: Ward, Daniels, Clark. Att: 1,200.
