Ruel Light My Fire! - Ipswich Town News
Former Norwich City man Ruel Fox may well become a Town player in the next week or so. According to what tabloid newspapers call 'sources close to the player' Fox met with George Burley last week and is taking his time deciding whether to join his home Town club.
The 31-year-old winger is out of favour at Tottenham and is unlikely to set Town back any massive fee. He could be the man to replace Bosman rebel Bobby Petta as an out and out left winger. At present Town only have Jamie Clapham and youngster Sean Friars who play in this area.
Fox cost the White Hart Lane club £4.2 million from Newcastle in 1995. Whether Town fans will take to a player who has previously played for Norwich remains to be seen.
