Marlet on Town Trial - Ipswich Town News
Former Fulham striker Steve Marlet has confirmed he is in contact with Town but says his trial has not yet been confirmed. TWTD reported earlier today that the former French international would be given the chance to impress at Portman Road.
Marlet says his spell with Town is not definite at this stage: "The trial has not been confirmed yet.”
The 33-year-old, released by Lorient in the summer, says he is keen to continue his career in England despite interest from clubs in Qatar.
Marlet's representative has sounded out a former team-mate about life with the Blues: "My agent has spoken to Sylvain Legwinski and I will soon talk about the club. I know him because we played together for two seasons at Fulham.”
