One In, One Out, One Pending - Ipswich Town News

Ipswich Town have taken defender Jozef Adamik on trial. The Slovak 22 year old, who currently plays for ZTS Dubnica, will spend a week at the club.

Jozef has played for his country at U21, U20 and U19 levels, having started his career at Slovan Bratislava.

McCall told the club site: "We have bought Jozef here to have a look at him this week and then see how things develop from there.

"Although we have not been to Slovakia, it is through contacts built up on out recent visits that Jozef has come to our attention."

Fellow trialist Marcin Adamski played for Town against Norwich reserves last night, but he will not be offered a deal.

Jim Magilton told the club site: "The lad did okay and it was important for us to see him in a game but we will not be taking our interest any further."

As for former Fulham forward Steve Marlet, Jim added: "Steve is in Spain at the moment. He had a pre-arranged date with another club.

"He is a good player, obviously. His pedigree is not in question and his fitness improved as we went through the week.

"He was a bit rusty when he arrived but the sharpness was returning and if the situation arises, it's possible we could take another look at him. That would mean seeing him in a game though and not just in training."
