Magilton Requests Hearing - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has requested a personal hearing regarding his charge of using abusive and/or insulting words towards referee Colin Webster after the recent 2-2 draw at Burnley, a breach of FA rule E3.
The Town manager is admitting swearing at the Tyne and Wear-based official in the referee's room half an hour after the end of the game in which Webster had controversially denied Pablo Couñago a late winning goal.
Last season, the Town boss was given a two-match touchline ban and fined £500 for a similar offence after being sent to the stands by referee Mark Clattenburg at Preston North End.
