Beckham Link Played Down - Ipswich Town News
Town have played down widespread reports claiming the Blues have invited former England skipper David Beckham to train at Portman Road during the MLS off-season.
Club spokesman Steve Pearce said: "Manager Jim Magilton was asked by the media two months ago if he would welcome Beckham to the club.
"Of course he would, but there have been no talks or any approaches made."
Beckham's LA Galaxy, coached by former Blue Frank Yallop, completed their season earlier this week, failing to make the play-offs.
