Rhodes Back Home - Ipswich Town News
Town have recalled striker Jordan Rhodes back to Portman Road at the end of his month's loan at Oxford United. The Blue Square Premier club had wanted to keep the 17-year-old for an extended spell.
Oxford boss Jim Smith said: "It's a shame but Ipswich have asked for him back, so all we can do is thank him for his efforts here.
"Jordan is a player with a bright future ahead of him and we all saw the potential during his month with us. We wish him well and will certainly keep an eye on how his career progresses."
Rhodes made four starts and one sub appearance during his month at the Kassam Stadium, scoring his first two senior goals in the 2-1 FA Cup victory over Merthyr Tydfil.
