Win Ray Crawford's Autobiography - Ipswich Town News

TWTD readers have been offered the chance to win one of two copies of former striker Ray Crawford's new autobiography Curse of the Jungle Boy.

Crawford was a key man in the Town side which won the Second Division and First Division in successive years in the early sixties, scoring 37 goals in the 1961/62 championship-winning season.

After leaving the club for Wolves and then West Brom, Town's first ever England international moved back to Portman Road and scored 21 times as the Blues won promotion back to the top flight as champions of Division two in 1967/68.

All Ray's profits from the book will go to charity, with funds raised being divided between the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation, which gives terminally ill children and their families respite in holiday caravans in West Sussex.

To win a copy of the book, send an email to competition@twtd.co.uk before November 30th telling us from which club Crawford joined Town in 1958. A winner will be randomly selected from the correct answers.

If you can't wait that long or never win competitions, you can buy Curse of the Jungle Boy, which includes a 32-page photo section, from PB Publishing for £17.

Ray will be signing copies of the book in Planet Blue between 11am and 12.30pm on Saturday, 1st December, ahead of Town's game with Barnsley.

Meanwhile, the competition to win the Savile Rogue cashmere bar scarf was won by Adrian Roper, who was picked randomly from the 107 people who correctly told us that Brian De Palma directed the film Scarface.

If you aren't Adrian and you still want a Savile Rogue scarf, they are available here.
