Bruce Added to Senior Irish Squad - Ipswich Town News
Central defender Alex Bruce has been promoted to the senior Republic of Ireland squad. The former Birmingham man was initially named in a B squad along with team-mate Jon Walters.
Bruce, who won his first full cap in a friendly against Ecuador in the summer, told the club site: "It's great to be involved with the senior squad and I'm really looking forward to it."
The Republic play Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday with Bruce, who will not now be involved with the B side, joining up with the squad on Wednesday.
