FA Want Agent's Role in Sito Deal Clarified - Ipswich Town News

Spanish full-back Sito's August 2005 move to Town is reported to be one of a number of deals in which the FA compliance unit has asked agent Barry Silkman to clarify his role.

There is no suggestion that there was anything untoward in the deal which saw Sito join the Blues on a free transfer from Racing Club de Ferrol after a successful trial. However, according to the Guardian, the FA want information on deals they say involved Silkman, but of which he failed to provide them with details during the Quest inquiry.

In November 2006 Quest wrote to Silkman asking for further information on seven deals including Sito's, the former Manchester City and Crystal Palace player having said he was only involved in Fabio Rochemback's switch from Barcelona to Middlesbrough during the 2004-2006 period covered by the inquiry.

Silkman says he has not withheld information and that he will not be responding to a document sent to him by the FA in September demanding that he explains 123 transactions through his bank accounts during the period of the Quest inquiry.
