Jim: No Move For Chaplow Yet - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that he is aware of the availability of West Brom midfielder Richard Chaplow, but says he will not be making a move at this stage. Chaplow was linked with the Blues and Crystal Palace by a weekend tabloid.

Magilton said: "We are aware of Richard, but this is as far as it has gone. Something might happen in January, but we are showing no interest at the moment.”

The Town manager has also confirmed that Dean Bowditch will be off on loan with Brentford his likely destination: "We expect to finalise the details of Dean's loan later today, with Brentford as one of the interested clubs.

"Dean has a lot to offer and he has shown signs this season in the reserves that he is beginning to find his best touch.

"But he needs games and I want him to go away for a month and come back with his confidence improved.”

The Bees, who already have Town midfielder Sammy Moore on loan, are also interested in 17-year-old frontman Jordan Rhodes, who has just completed a loan spell with Blue Square Premier side Oxford United.
