Jon Walters and Gavin Williams are slight doubts ahead of Tuesday's home game with Leicester City (KO 7.45pm). Walters picked up a dead leg during the second half of Saturday's game at Charlton, while Williams came off in the first period with a sore toe.
First team coach Bryan Klug is hopeful both players will be OK to take on the Foxes: "Touch wood both should be fine in time for the game. We had a few with sniffles but it is more ‘man flu' than real flu.”
Klug says boss Magilton may have overstated his desire to make January changes to his squad in the heat of the moment at Charlton, but one or two alterations to the line-up are likely for Tuesday's game. One enforced switch will see Gary Roberts miss out as he is suspended for one match after picking up his fifth booking of the season at Bristol City.
A move back to 4-4-2 is certain with Pablo Couñago returning to the starting line-up alongside Alan Lee up front after an excellent performance and even better goal at the Valley.
At the back, Alex Bruce is not ready for a return after sustaining a groin injury at Bristol City last week. Fabian Wilnis looks set to continue at centre-half with skipper Jason De Vos. Richard Naylor is still out with a back injury which a specialist has told him will be fine if rested.
David Wright looks set to keep his place at right-back, however, Dan Harding's presence on the left may be in question. Magilton, clearly angry after the very poor first half display at Charlton, was highly critical of the former Brighton and Leeds man, substituting him at half-time and blaming him for the first two goals.
Spanish full-back Sito came in for a rare appearance in place of Harding at the Valley and put in a solid defensive display, although rarely forayed forward. The ex-Racing Club de Ferrol man could make his first start since the trip to Stoke in January.
In midfield, Walters, if fit, is likely to move back to the right having played on the left in the second half at Charlton. Williams, again fitness depending, is likely to move to the wide left role after being part of the central midfield three in the early stages at the Valley.
If either Walters or Williams fails to make it, Danny Haynes may hope to be included on the right, while Billy Clarke will be looking to return on the left.
Sylvain Legwinski and Liam Trotter, linked with Wigan by a tabloid at the weekend, could come into Jim Magilton's plans for a central role, although he may prefer to stick with regular choices Owen Garvan and Tommy Miller, given Town's excellent home record so far this season.
Klug says academy striker Jordan Rhodes is close to a call into the first team squad: "Jordan is maturing physically and has been scoring lots of goals. He is not far away and I'm sure his time will come.”
If Rhodes, 17, does make a senior appearance, he will become the first player born in the 1990s.
New Leicester boss Ian Holloway has told his squad to put Saturday's 2-1 defeat to West Brom behind them: "I have asked them all to come in and be positive for our trip to Ipswich, which is our game in hand, and if we win that one we could get halfway up the league.
"Ipswich have not lost a game at home this season, but they let in a few goals on Saturday, so why can't we do that to them?
"If we let Saturday's kick in the teeth hurt us, then we are only feeling sorry for ourselves and you get nothing by doing that.”
Striker Matty Fryatt is back after serving a suspension and James Chambers is available again after a thigh problem, while DJ Campbell (knee), Collins John (hamstring), James Wesolowski (hamstring) and Elvis Hammond (ankle) are all on the sidelines at present.
Last season Leicester did the double over the Blues, winning 3-1 at the Walkers Stadium early in the season with Patrick Kisnorbo, Stephen Hughes and Iain Hume on the scoresheet for the Foxes and Matt Richards for Town.
At Portman Road in February, defender Gareth McAuley headed in both goals from corners as the visitors ran out 2-0 winners and the Blues finished the game with 10 men, Owen Garvan having received the first red card of his senior career for a wild lunge.
Historically, Town have won 24 league matches against the Foxes, have drawn 14, with Leicester victorious on 18 occasions. The only time the clubs have met in a cup was in the 1997 League Cup when Leicester won 1-0 at Portman Road and the sides drew 0-0 at Filbert Street.
Tuesday's referee is Phil Joslin from Nottinghamshire, who has shown 60 yellow cards and one red so far this season. Joslin's last Town game was the 1-0 defeat at Burnley in November 2006 in which he booked Alan Lee, Alex Bruce and Jason De Vos.
