O'Callaghan Back to Cork? - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder George O'Callaghan will be a January target of former club Cork City, according to reports in Ireland. O'Callaghan, currently on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion, was a hugely popular figure at his hometown club before his move to the Blues a year ago.
Cork are reported to be on the verge of sacking manager Damien Richardson with former Longford Town boss Alan Mathews set take over. O'Callaghan is said to be on his January wish list.
The 28-year-old failed to win a regular place in the first team during his time at Town and moved on loan to Brighton in August. The one-time Port Vale trainee has impressed while at the Withdean and the Seagulls are keen to extend his stay beyond the end of his current spell at the end of the year.
