Finnish Defender On Trial - Ipswich Town News
Finnish U21 international defender Jonas Portin is currently on trial with the Blues and took part in Wednesday's behind-closed-doors friendly with Watford. As reported yesterday, Jordan Rhodes netted the only goal against the Hornets.
Portin, 21-years-old and 6ft 2in tall, plays with Finnish Premier League side FF Jaro at present and has been a regular for the last couple of seasons.
Polish international winger Damian Gorawski was also involved against Watford as he continues his second trial at Playford Road.
In addition to Portin and Gorawski,Town also have former Liverpool academy midfielder Charlie Barnett and German-based, US-born goalkeeper Kenneth Kronholm on trial at present.
