Jim Wants Fees for Duo - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton says he will demand fees for midfielders George O'Callaghan and Matt Richards if they leave the club permanently in January. Brighton are keen on the duo, who are currently on loan at the Withdean Stadium, while Cork City have previously been linked with their former player.

Magilton is reported to want around £60,000 for the Irishman, who is also claimed to be interesting Eircom League side Bohemians and clubs in Spain.

The Town manager said: "George has done great and Brighton are very keen to take him. We paid a minimal fee for him, so we will see what deals can be done. If not, he will be welcomed back.”

Richards will also be considered now that he has returned to Portman Road, perhaps, Magilton says, in the left-back role where he started his career. The Seagulls are keen to sign the 23-year-old either on loan for the second half of the season or permanently, but the Richards says he will sit down and talk to the Town boss before making any decisions.

O'Callaghan's contract is up in the summer, while Richards has a further season on his Town deal.
