Jim: Bid Made But Not For Werling - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has denied weekend rumours linking Barnsley left-back Dominik Werling with a move to the Blues, but says he has made a bid for another player. The German is understood to have left the Tykes with Town and Wolves claimed to be interested in signing him.
Magilton says Werling's agent approached the club but that was as far as Town's interest went: "We have not made a move for Werling. His agent contacted us and enquired if we would be interested, but that's all.
The Town manager refuses to say who the man he has targeted is, but hopes a deal may be done prior to the New Year's Day game against West Brom "If it is possible to get everything tied up in time we will include him against West Brom.”
Meanwhile, reports in France claim Laurent Robert was in England for talks with the Blues regarding a move to the Blues over the weekend.
