Plymouth Want High Price for Norris - Ipswich Town News
Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock says his club want top dollar for midfielder David Norris, rumoured to be the player Town made an unsuccessful seven-figure bid for earlier this week.
The former Sheffield Wednesday manager was asked to comment on whether Town had made a £1.5 million offer for the 26-year-old after his side's New Year's Day game with Cardiff and appeared to neither confirm nor deny the bid, but said the valuation wouldn't secure the midfielder's signature: "That would be not even close to enough.
"No one's leaving unless it's a Plymouth Argyle price - and that's hefty."
Posts on Plymouth message boards claim Pilgrims chairman Paul Stapleton has told a local radio station that no bid has been received for Norris, but we've not yet been able confirm whether this is the case.
