Bohemians Deny O'Callaghan Link - Ipswich Town News

Bohemians boss Pat Fenlon has denied having any interest in Town midfielder George O'Callaghan. The 28-year-old is tipped to make a move back to Ireland in the January transfer window with a number of Eircom League sides linked.

Fenlon said: "There are no developments on that front. Most of what you hear about is paper talk. If he was available then we would be interested, but he is under contract at Ipswich.

"We will not sign players for the sake of it. We will only bring in players who we think are better than those that are already here.

"There are a few players that we are looking at in that regard, but there has been no contact about George O'Callaghan at this point."

The player himself is understood to prefer a move to former club Cork City, while St Patrick's have also been mentioned as an interested party. QPR have also been linked.

FIFA's decision to change their three-club rule earlier this week has opened the way for O'Callaghan to return to Ireland and play from the start of the Eircom League season.
