Jim: No Bid for Haynes - Ipswich Town News
Boss Jim Magilton has denied newspaper claims that West Ham United have had a £1.5 million bid for Danny Haynes turned down. Magilton has confirmed that, as reported yesterday, APOEL Nicosia's Ricardo Fernandes is on a two-day trial at Playford Road.
Magilton says the Blues have received no contact from West Ham nor anyone else regarding the 19-year-old: "There is nothing in it.
"We have not had any contact from West Ham regarding Danny or any other player at this football club."
Former Porto man Fernandes is reportedly set to return to Cyprus on Wednesday after a short spell with the Blues.
