O'Callaghan in Cork Talks - Ipswich Town News
New Cork City manager Alan Mathews says he has spoken to George O'Callaghan's agent regarding the midfielder's return to his former club. The Irishman looks likely to leave the Blues to go back to the Eircom League during the transfer window.
Mathews says he has held talks regarding moves for O'Callaghan and Longford Town striker Dave Mooney: "I've spoken to Dave myself and I've spoken to George's representatives. And we'd like to think that we would be in the market for players that would enhance and improve the squad."
O'Callaghan, who has spent much of this season on loan at Brighton, has also been linked with Bohemians and St Patrick's with FIFA's decision to amend their three-club rule having paved the way for the 28-year-old's return to Irish football.
