Braintree Game to be Rearranged - Ipswich Town News
The Russell Tanner testimonial which was to be played between Town and Tanner's club Braintree this evening will now go ahead as part of Town's pre-season in July. No date has been fixed but the Essex club told us that Town have said that they will be bringing a strong line-up to Cressing Road in the summer.
Tonight's game fell victim to a waterlogged pitch and with the safety of Town players to the fore Braintree quickly moved to call the game off.
