U18s Defeat Arsenal - Ipswich Town News
Town's U18s defeated Arsenal 3-2 at their Shenley Training Centre on Saturday morning to record a double over the Gunners' famous academy. The Blues' goals were scored by Jordan Rhodes, Jai Reason and Jack Ainsley.
Ainsley scored the only goal when Town beat the North Londoners at Portman Road earlier in the season.
Meanwhile, academy midfielder Nathan Tooms is set for a break in the Canary Islands courtesy of the Town first team squad. Tooms is facing up to a year out of action due to a cruciate knee ligament injury which will be operated on in two weeks' time.
Tooms, from Grays in Essex, joined the academy full-time in the summer of 2006 and is a regular in the U18 side.
