McAuley Bid In - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Jim Magilton is reported to have made a second bid for Leicester City defender Gareth McAuley. The Blues' initial offer believed to be £600,000 was turned down earlier in the month.
Over the weekend, a tabloid newspaper claimed McAuley was unhappy with the new contract on offer at the Walkers Stadium.
Town are also continuing their pursuit of David Norris, but the midfielder is still likely to be a Plymouth player when the sides meet at Portman Road on Tuesday.
The Blues have so far made only one signing during the transfer window, last week's £400,000 recruitment of Alan Quinn from Sheffield United. Jim Magilton has confirmed that the Irishman will start against the Pilgrims.
