Norris Will Sign - Reports - Ipswich Town News

Town will sign David Norris from Plymouth Argyle before the end of the transfer window either on a permanent basis or on loan, according to reports this lunchtime. The Blues made their third bid for the former Bolton and Boston man earlier in the week and it looks to have tipped the balance.

According to the reports, Norris will either make the move to Suffolk for a fee around the £2.25 million mark or switch on loan while the clubs agree the fine print of the deal which will see the 26-year-old end his spell at Home Park.

Bolton Wanderers, from whom Argyle signed Norris for £25,000 in October 2002, will receive 50% of the fee.

After last night's game between Town and the Pilgrims, Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock admitted that Norris could move on if the right offer came in: "The only way he will leave us is for a Plymouth price, and that's huge. At the end of the day, I haven't got a crystal ball and I can't foresee the fortune.

"All I will say is that we have got two days left and it will have to be a Plymouth price."
