Duo Join Falkirk on Loan - Ipswich Town News
Town duo Billy Clarke and Shane Supple have joined SPL side Falkirk on loan until the end of the season. Supple has failed to make a senior appearance for the Blues this season, while Clarke has been in and out of the side.
Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "We need to get some of our young players out on loan and get them first team football.
"The standard of reserve team football is not up to the level we want for lads like Shane and Billy to progress and there is nothing to compare with first team football week-in, week-out for the development of young players.
"This is a great opportunity for the pair of them to go out and play league football at a high level."
Supple says he has been looking for a short-term move: "I asked the boss if he could find me a loan club because I need to be playing first team football and this is a great opportunity for me.”
Town will be bringing in a second experienced goalkeeper as back up to today's loan signing Stephen Bywater.
