Liverpool Delegation March on London! - Ipswich Town News
Liverpool have sent a delegation to march on the FA and get their fixture congestion sorted out. Yesterday the FA confirmed that they had received a complaint from Liverpool over their remaining fixture calender with the Town game on April 10th the one they most want to move.
Gérard Houllier, assistant boss Phil Thompson and chief executive Rick Parry have all gone to the FA's headquarters to try to get the Town game moved from a week in which they are playing four games in eight days. If they are successful May seems a likely date for the game.
Liverpool are reported to be very angry over the scheduling of the Town game and seem determined to do as much as possible to get it changed. Town said this morning that they are confident the game will go ahead as planned.
