Jim Wants New Home Run - Ipswich Town News

Boss Jim Magilton has called on his side to begin another long home unbeaten run when Blackpool come to Portman Road on Saturday. Watford brought a 19-match home league unbeaten streak to a close last weekend.

Magilton told the club site: "We were all bitterly disappointed to see that run come to an end.

"I was hoping to keep it going until the end of the year, but now we have to start again and look to put together another long run.

"Paul Grayson's team gave us a very difficult game at their place a few weeks back and I'm expecting much the same on Saturday when Blackpool come to Portman Road.

"They've had some excellent results this season after taking the step up from League One and, if we are not on our game, they could end up with another one.

"But our home form has been excellent this season and it's important that we get back on track after last week."

Meanwhile, Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan says he will not be allowing striker Andy Carroll to go out on loan: "Absolutely no chance. We would not let anybody out on loan at the moment.”

Last week, Carroll's agent Peter Harrison said the Blues and Norwich City were amongst the sides interested in signing the frontman on a short-term basis.

Town striker Danny Haynes has been banned from driving for eight months and fined £1350 after twice being caught driving without a licence. The 20-year-old had previously had his licence revoked for two earlier traffic offences.
