Eircom League side Galway United are spending five days at Playford Road this week as part of their pre-season training programme. The Irish season runs through the summer and starts in March.
The Tribesmen will play with a behind-closed-doors friendly against the Blues on Wednesday.
Boss Jim Magilton is a good friend of Galway manager Tony Cousins, the pair having been youth players at Liverpool together.
Town played a pre-season friendly at Galway's Terryland Park in July 2006, goals from Nicky Forster and Sito giving the Blues a 2-0 victory.
