A young Town reserve side defeated Galway United 2-1 in this afternoon's behind-closed-doors friendly at Playford Road. Jordan Rhodes netted his usual goal, this time a penalty just before the break, while Jack Ainsley netted the winner two minutes from the end.
The Blues had gone behind to a Mark Leech goal in the 20th minute. Galway are spending the week training at Playford Road as they prepare for he 2008 Eircom League season.
Reserves: Ward, Robinson, Casement, Watson, Synnott, Upson, Reason, Trotter, Fenn, Rhodes, Ainsley.
